Event Announcement
Thank you Kamloops for an INCREDIBLE year of fundraising! We have surpassed our goal of $40 000 and have made some incredible strides towards expanding the affordability, availability, and access to mental health programming in Kamloops. We can’t wait to see what next year brings!
Ride Don’t Hide will be running from May 2nd until June 30th. We will have our wrap up event in Riverside Park at the Bandshell on Sunday June 26th from 11am-3pm.
MENTAL HEALTH WEEK May 2 – 8 ~ Each year, CMHA, Kamloops kicks off our annual fundraising event during Mental Health Week – Ride Don’t Hide. This year we are planning for a hybrid of in person and virtual engagement for Ride Don’t Hide. Everyone deserves to feel well, now more than ever. In a time of unprecedented uncertainty, stress, anxiety and physical distancing, we all need connection to and support from our communities like never before.
You are not alone.
Ride Don’t Hide is moving back to an in person event in 2022, after 2 years of running virtually. We will continue to have virtual components so everyone can be involved no matter their comfort level. Everyone deserves to feel well, now more than ever. In a time of unprecedented uncertainty, stress, anxiety and physical distancing, we all need connection to and support from our communities like never before.
Show everyone that even though we’re apart right now, they’re not alone in dealing with their mental health. Register, ride and raise funds for mental health at www.ridedonthide.com.
We are excited to be riding shoulder to shoulder again as well as virtually, to take a stand for mental health. Riders – and spinners, walkers, runners, yogis, kitchen dancers, meditators, and every other mental health champion – can find their community and register online to Ride Outside, Ride Inside, or Ride In Spirit and raise funds to support mental health programs and services.
We may be moving at home or outside but together we’re a powerful movement for mental health.
Covid-19 variants continue to create an uncertain environment for everyone. The continued anxiety, stress, and social distance is taking a toll on the mental health and well-being of everyone. Social connection and belonging are core to good mental health and we hope to help with that.
Ride Don’t Hide raises essential funds for core services and critical programs that work to keep people out of crisis and support people of all ages with the mental health help they need, when they need it, wherever we are.
Ride Don’t Hide is your ride, your way. Ride outside, ride inside, or ride in spirit to bring mental health into the open, wherever you are.
Apart we can be strong, but together we’re unstoppable.
