Volunteer Opportunities with CMHA Kamloops Branch
1. Community Supporters
Volunteers are an important and integral part of CMHA-Kamloops Branch. We believe everyone's
experience and/or expertise has something to offer.
Our volunteer service enhances activities and makes the best use of volunteer skills and knowledge
through appropriate support and training of volunteers and staff. The program also enhances the
volunteer's own skills and awareness of mental health and mental health issues.
2. Board of Directors
The Kamloops Branch of CMHA has been providing public education, health promotion services
and mental illness rehabilitation in our community since 1982. We are a registered not-for-profit
organization, affiliated with CMHA across Canada, but with our own Board of Directors.
We provide services to hundreds of individuals each year through the hard work of 5 paid staff and
several volunteers. Our funding comes from diverse sources such as the Interior Health Authority Mental
Health Services, BC Housing Management Commission, United Way, BC Gaming Commission and
through the generous support of private individuals, foundations and corporations.
We would like to hear from enthusiastic, energetic, and motivated members of our community to help
us on our continuing journey.
