Adult Clubhouse - The adult clubhouse provides a wide range of personalized services and education in the domains of personal life, leisure, education and work. The program provides stability, competence, and self esteem, enabling individuals with serious and persistent mental illness to participate as fully as possible within the community. Consumer Facilitation Fund Philosophy: Fund allocation is directed by consumers, family members, Mental Health and CMHA- Kamloops working in equal partnership as the Funding Committee. The committed efforts of the Funding Criteria Committee membership has enabled the delivery of this fund in spite of the challenges faced in balancing a finite resource with the ever changing environment and needs of consumers and family members in the Thompson Region. Family Support - A support group for spouses, parents, siblings, and other cargivers who are seeking support to effectively cope with pressures created by the symptoms and behaviours of family members who are diagnosed with a mental illness. Merritt Clubhouse - A safe, stable environment where individuals who live with mental illness and people who are recovering from addictions can acquire skills to increase their self-esteem and level of competence in order to participate as fully as possible within their own community. Youth Clubhouse - Youth-driven activity center for those aged 13 to 18. We provide a safe, supportive, drug and alcohol free environment and foster an astmosphere in which youth are encouraged to express themselves through music, arts, crarts, and social interaction.
